A (slightly playful) application filled in by Apple founder Steve Jobs can soon be bought at an auction, probably for more than € 140,000.

We know from previous auctions that people are willing to spend a lot of money for apparently worthless objects. Likewise, an old cover letter from Apple founder Steve Jobs. The 1973 piece of paper was already auctioned once and raised $ 174,000, AppleInsider writes. This time collectors will probably have so much money for it.

Auction Cover Letter Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs completed the above cover letter in 1973, a short time after dropping out of his education at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He was 18 years old at the time. The auction house doesn’t know what Jobs applied for, but it’s an interesting piece of history for Apple fanatics.

Jobs was trying to get a job before he joined game company Atari in 1974. There he met Steve Wozniak. As many will know, that meeting was the beginning of Apple, as the two founded the tech company in 1976. Incidentally, the letter is only half filled in, and many answers can even be called playful.

As the address, Jobs enters ‘Reed College’ while omitting information about previous jobs. When the form asks for his driver’s license, he neatly fills in ‘yes’. But when asked whether he has access to transport, he writes: ‘possible, but not likely’. He also describes his special skills as an ‘electronics tech or design engineer. Digital – from Bay near Hewitt-Packard ‘.

The auction of Steve Jobs’ letter of application will start on February 24. You will have a month to bid. That is, if you have converted (expected) € 143,415!
