Classic games publisher Atari is with us half a century today! To celebrate, Atari is polishing up four classics for Google Stadia and releasing an all-new game for the platform.

The first game is Centipede: Recharged. It will be available on Stadia on Friday 1 July. The updated version is made 16:9, has a dozen new power-ups and offers the possibility to play each level and mode with a friend. For Stadia Pro subscribers, the game is available immediately at launch, others have to pay $10.

Sometime this summer it will be Black Widow: Recharged’s turn. Also here are new Power-ups and play together with a friend. The visuals of the cult classic have been redesigned for modern gameplay. Collect money from downed enemies and trap your opponents in your web.

The next revamped classic is Asteroids: Recharged. The original space shooter, but then translated to this time. New powerups like staggered shots, reflector shields and more. You can dodge shattered asteroids and UFOs this way. You can also play games here with a friend.

The fourth and final classic coming to Stadia is Break Out: Recharged. Escape by smashing walls in an endless arcade mode. All new tools are available and you need to have razor sharp reflexes to climb the global leaderboards.

The fifth game, completely new, is Kombinera. A puzzle platform game where the aim is to send multiple colored balls around different obstacles until all the balls together form one big ball. The game contains 300 puzzles and was already released in April for PC and consoles and is now coming to Google Stadia.

Google has pledged to bring more than 100 games to Stadia by 2022 and is now at around 30 releases by the middle of the year. Still a bit to go this year, but this Atari birthday party immediately adds another five games to the list.
