At EA Play Live, a sequel to the well-known IP -apkrig will be presented
Jump with us on the speculative expressway to Klepovice. The Internet again has hope to cling to. Among other things, Electronic Arts is due to announce the revival of an established brand from its rich portfolio at the EA Play Live event in July. This was suggested by the well-informed journalist Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat magazine.
It is supposed to be a completely new game, not remaster, for example, and the EA Motive studio is working on it. Grubb remarked that he would make the fans happy. “We’ll see her if we’re not dead sooner,” he suggested, and most speculation immediately turned to the Dead Space series, the return of which is not the first time to return.
One of the main authors is working on the new survival horror film The Callisto Protocol.
So far, after some canceled projects, Motive Studios have only one game of their own on their account – last year’s Star Wars: Squadrons. Previously, they helped study DICE with Star Wars Battlefront II. Motive boss Patrick Klaus has previously indicated that they are working on several unannounced projects. Dead Space could be one of them.
It should be added that the original authors can no longer take on this task to the great regret of the fans. Visceral Games Studio was disbanded in 2017. However, former Dead Space co-author Glen Schofield has embarked on his own spiritual successor. In December, at The Game Awards, he survived the survival horror film The Callisto Protocol from Striking Distance Studios, which is to be somehow set in the PUBG universe. It will be published perhaps in 2022.
It should be added that in addition to the Dead Space brand, Mirror’s Edge, Army of Two or Medal of Honor are also listed as other potential candidates.
