Asus announces ROG Phone 5: smartphone with powerful specs

A new real gaming smartphone from Asus is arriving. The manufacturer is releasing the ROG Phone 5 with Republic of Gamers. In addition, there will also be a ROG Phone 5 Ultimate which is equipped with no less than 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space. There is also a ROG Phone 5 Pro with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
In addition, there are also several variants of the ROG Phone 5 itself. One variant offers 12GB / 16GB with 256GB of storage space. The other variant gives you 8GB RAM / 128GB storage space. ROG Phone 5 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate (not adaptive) and Full-HD + resolution. It also has HDR10 + support and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. We also see an extremely low touch latency of only 24.3 ms.
If we look at the specifications of the Asus ROG Phone 5, we also see a considerable weight of 239 grams. In addition, there is a 6000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging. There is a 24MP front camera and triple camera on the back. Here we see a 64MP main lens, 13MP wide angle and 5MP macro. Numerous sensors ensure that you can game without problems and of course Android 11 is present. The phone itself is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. There is also the ‘next-generation GameFX’ sound system for the best sound quality.
The cheapest version will be available first from the end of March. Then the more expensive models follow. Various accessories will also appear, such as an AeroActive 5 Cooler to lower the temperature by up to 10 degrees, a gamepad and controllers. The price for the 8GB / 128GB will be 800 euros, 12GB / 256GB for 900 euros and 16GB / 256GB for 1000 euros. For 1200 euros you get the ROG Phone 5 Pro, for 1300 euros the Ultimate. Asus will only sell the device in the Netherlands through its own store and you can go to Belsimpel for it.
