Some people using WhatsApp Beta are unable to open the app as of today. This is the solution to the problem.

Version 2.23.7.12 of the beta version of WhatsApp cannot be started by some users. They will see an error message stating that the app needs to be updated. The existing version would be outdated. As soon as they tap the download button to update the app, they see that there is no update available in the Play Store.

There are some workarounds circulating on social media. From the adjust the date on your phone to installing an older version or leaving the WhatsApp beta program. The latter doesn’t seem to work. Anyway, the best solution gives WhatsApp itself. The company has now through Twitter announcing that a new beta version of the app is available: “We’ve fixed the issue and 2.23.7.14 beta is now available on our website and should be live on the Google Beta Store soon.”

So you can already update to the latest version, even if the Play Store indicates that no new version is available. To do this, download this installation file from the WhatsApp website. That’s all!
