Are we looking at this manufacturer’s first folding smartphone?
In October last year, a code appeared in MIUI 12 Closed Beta, which revealed the fact that Xiaomi is working on a folding device with a 108 MP camera. Now, interesting pictures have reached the Internet of someone holding the manufacturer’s folding device in their hand in the Chinese subway. This should be the very first folding phone from this manufacturer.

We could look forward to a folding smartphone from Xiaomi soon
The Android Central web portal has unveiled potentially the first Xiaomi folding phone. The already mentioned photographs of this device have appeared. How do we know that this is a product from this company? We see open settings on the display, where the version of the MIUI 12 user superstructure, or its logo and graphics in general, is clearly visible.
Even though a significant bend is visible in the middle of the mobile phone, in which the display opens and closes, it is indeed a promising-looking device. At the same time, it is quite possible that the final pieces will be better optimized in view of similar imperfections. Furthermore, its similarity can be compared to the already known Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.
The operating system has obviously been Android with the MIUI 12 extension. The internal storage should have a capacity of 256 GB. Another interesting thing is that at first glance, no front “selfie” sensor is visible on the device. It would not be so surprising that one would be found integrated directly into the display. The Chinese Xiaomi has been working on this technology for some time. According to some information, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 should have a similar solution.
Will Xiaomi also succeed in gaining a foothold in the folding smartphone segment? Only time will tell. We don’t have much information about this unknown smartphone yet. Well, we look forward to revealing more details in the next time period.
