Apple’s New MacBook Pro Comes With Remarkable Addition!
Apple’s new MacBook Pro is coming and there is a rumor that it will come with a noteworthy addition.
It’s just a rumor (yet), but it looks like the updated MacBook Pro will come with a notch. The notch is believed to have the size “similar to iPhone 12”. While more and more tech companies want to get rid of the notch, Apple is also coming up with this solution for this device.
MacBook Pro addition
The Twitter user known as “DuanRui,” who often shares information about Apple’s plans on Weibo, suggested the rumor could just be a joke. That said, a Reddit user with no track record, claiming to have spoken to sources in the supply chain, has now made the same claim. So there may be a grain of truth in it.
The Reddit post says the new MacBook Pro will have a standard-sized notch. Instead of the smaller ones from the iPhone 13 series. Instead of a Face ID TrueDepth camera like on the iPhone, the MacBook Pro’s notch apparently includes a 1080p webcam. But also a True Tone sensor and a microphone.
And even with a notch at the top of the screen, Apple couldn’t have given the MacBook Pro four equal-width bezels. This notch design will apparently also come to the redesigned 2022 MacBook Air.
Rumor or not?
While the claim may seem laughable at first glance, the Redditor highlighted MacRumors’ finding that the new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros will have resolutions of 3024 by 1964 and 3456 by 2234. 1890 and 3456 by 2160 correspond to an aspect ratio of 16:10. All of Apple’s current MacBooks have a 16:10 aspect ratio, so with a height of 74 pixels for a notch, this point seems plausible.
The new MacBook Pro models are expected to be announced on Monday, October 18 at Apple’s “Unleashed” event.
