Apple will also release a MacBook Pro 2022 in March

It is almost certain that Apple will launch the iPhone SE during an event next month. We therefore expect a new iPad Air. And now there is a surprising rumor that Apple plans to release a MacBook Pro 2022 with M2 chip in March.

13-inch MacBook Pro 2022 in March?

The rumor comes from the Taiwanese DigiTimes† They write, citing supply chain sources, that the new MacBook Pro will be launched “early March.”

“Apple will release new products in early March, including a new MacBook Pro with M2 processor, an iPhone SE with 5G and a budget-level iPad,” sources told the Taiwanese website. The MacBook Pro would look almost the same as the existing 2020 model, but with a more powerful chip.

It’s the first time we’re hearing about a MacBook Pro slated to launch in March. DigiTimes does not mention the size of the MacBook Pro in the article, but it is likely that it is a 13-inch MacBook Pro 2022.

The reliable Mark Gurman wrote this weekend that such an entry-level MacBook Pro is coming, with a screen of 13-inch. The 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 were recently refreshed (on October 25, 2021), so these Pro models are unlikely to get an update yet.

questionable

It is remarkable that Apple has plans to renew the 13-inch MacBook Pro. It would be marketed as an entry-level MacBook Pro, with the same design as the 2020 version, but with a more powerful processor and more attractive price.

With this, Apple is launching a MacBook Pro that competes with its own popular laptop: the MacBook Air. And Apple hasn’t forgotten that either. The tech giant is rumored to be working on a new design, with the Air looking like the latest MacBook Pro models. It also has an M2 chip.

We therefore have doubts about these rumours. But at least you don’t have to wait for this 13-inch MacBook Pro. If you are a professional user, there is no better laptop than the current 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. Do you want a MacBook with excellent value for money? Then go for the MacBook Air 2020, or wait for the new version that will probably appear at the end of this year.
