Apple Watch Series 7: pre-orders October 8, on sale October 15
Apple announcement today that pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 7 will begin on October 8 and go to market on October 15. This confirms the recent rumors that have circulated on this subject. The luxury brand Hermès, Apple’s partner for bracelets, had also spoken of the date of October 8 for pre-orders.
Apple Watch Series 7 preorders this Friday
Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 7 will take place on October 8 starting at 2 p.m. KST. There will be both the 41mm model and the 45mm model. Availability will be in France and in more than 60 countries in total according to Apple.
As a reminder, Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 7 last month during the keynote where the iPhone 13, iPad mini 6 and iPad 9 were also announced. The watch will be available with 41 and 45 mm dials (compared to 40 and 44mm for Apple Watch Series 6). There’s also a bigger screen, 40% smaller bezels, and a 70% brighter screen indoors when your wrist is down.
These include faster charging (33% faster than the Series 6), better resistance to drops, an IP6X protection rating and water resistance up to 50 meters. And of course, watchOS 8 is pre-installed.
Apple does not officially give the reason for the delay compared to the iPhone 13, iPad mini 6 and iPad 9 which are already on sale. But the leaks revealed that there was a problem at the production level, with the process being more complex than that of the Apple Watch Series 6. But that is now history.
