Apple Watch 8 is going to be a hot thing: New smartwatch feature is ready

There are not only new iPhones in autumn. Apple also wants to offer something new with smartwatches. The future Apple Watch 8 will even be a pretty hot thing, after all, the smart watch will be sensitive to temperatures for the first time.

Apple Watch 8 will detect fever

Rumors have been around for a while now that a smartwatch feature for the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 seems confirmed. Apple insider and Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman currently assumes that the temperature sensor for the new smartwatch is actually final (Source: Power-on newsletter). In addition, the function is not only reserved for the Apple Watch 8, the new and particularly robust version for extreme athletes should also have the feature. Gurman writes (translated):

“You can expect some new health tracking features for this year’s Apple Watch. In April, I reported that Apple plans to add body temperature detection to the Series 8, provided the feature passes internal testing. I now believe the feature will come to both the regular Apple Watch Series 8 and a new ruggedized version aimed at extreme athletes.”

What is certain is that the Apple Watch 8 will run on watchOS 9. The new system offers some new features:

However, the watch will not simply act as a thermometer and display the temperature at the push of a button, instead, the watch warns the user if it thinks he or she has a fever. The sensor is therefore used directly for health control and is thus part of the features that are already popular. For example, the ECG or the measurement of the blood oxygen content.

Unfortunately, nothing will come of this:

But no new design and no new processor

However, we must say goodbye to the thought of a new design. According to the current state of knowledge, the form will remain the same, yes, even with the processor, not much should really happen. Whether Apple will be able to inspire? doubts are warranted. We will be able to find out in September whether this will ultimately happen, provided there are no unplanned delays by then.
