Apple TV+ announces new comedy series starring Noel Fielding

AppleTV+ announcement to have ordered a new comedy series which is currently untitled, but which will feature Noel Fielding in the lead role. The British actor notably starred in The Mighty Boosh and The IT Crowd.

New series announced for Apple TV+

Noel Fielding will play Dick Turpin, the legendary British highwayman. In this irreverent version, Dick is the most famous, but least likely of the highwaymen, whose success is defined primarily by his charm, showmanship, and hair. Along with his gang of friendly thieves, Dick knows the ups and downs of fame and does everything he can to escape the clutches of a general.

Big Talk Productions, part of ITV Studios, will produce this series on Apple TV+. Ben Palmer will be the director. The screenplay is written by Claire Downes, Stuart Lane and Ian Jarvis. Noel Fielding and Jeremy Dyson will also serve as script consultants. As for Kenton Allen, Fielding, Victoria Grew, Matthew Justice and Ben Palmer, they will serve as executive producers.

There is currently no release date for this new series on Apple TV+. The streaming service also doesn’t specify the rest of the cast. We will have to wait for this information.
