Apple TV 4K fourth generation is coming (and is much cheaper)
Apple is working on a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, which will be a lot cheaper than the third generation. This is when the new Apple TV appears.

New Apple TV on the way
Apple released the Apple TV 4K 2022 less than a year ago, but the company is reportedly already working on a new version of the device. The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K will probably get a new chip that works much faster and more energy-efficiently. The design of the new Apple TV will probably remain almost the same as the Apple TV 4K 2022.

So probably not much will change with the fourth generation Apple TV 4K, but the price of the device will be adjusted. And that is striking, because the new Apple TV will be a lot cheaper than the Apple TV 4K 2022. That’s how much you will pay for the next Apple TV.
Apple TV 4K will be much cheaper
According to the usually reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is lowering the price of the Apple TV 4K on the next generation. The Apple TV 4K 2022 has a starting price of 169 euros, for the more expensive version you pay twenty euros more. That was already a lot cheaper than the previous generation Apple TV, which had a purchase price of at least 199 euros.
The price of the new Apple TV 4K will therefore be even lower. If we are to believe the rumors, you will soon pay only $ 100 for the fourth generation Apple TV 4K. In Europe, the price of the new device will probably be slightly higher. In the Netherlands you pay around 130 euros for the new Apple TV 4K.
New processor for the Apple TV 4K
The fourth generation of the Apple TV 4K will also receive a new processor. The Apple TV 4K 2022 runs on the A15 Bionic chip. The next Apple TV will probably run on the A16 Bionic chip, which we already know from the iPhone 14 Pro (Max).

It is also quite possible that the fourth generation Apple TV 4K will get the new A17 Bionic chip. Apple is introducing that processor this year with the iPhone 15. This will be the first 3nm chip, the current processors are still 5nm chips. This new chip is a lot more powerful, so the Apple TV handles heavy tasks better. For example, games on the new Apple TV probably run a lot smoother.
Apple TV will be released next year
The new Apple TV will therefore be a lot cheaper and more powerful than the Apple TV 4K 2022. We still have to wait for the fourth generation Apple TV 4K, because the device will not appear until 2024. Apple will probably present the Apple TV 4K 2024 in the spring , as the official release is reportedly scheduled for the first half of 2024.
