Apple teases a future Mac Pro with Apple Silicon and not Intel
Apple does not yet offer a Mac Pro with its own chip and not an Intel processor, but the group teased it today during its keynote. We can therefore imagine that the announcement will be made this year.
An Apple Silicon Mac Pro on the way
John Ternus, Apple’s vice president of hardware engineering, brought up a new Mac Pro with an in-house chip on the keynote stage to clear up any confusion about the company’s plans for the next computer. Speaking of the transition to Apple Silicon across the entire Mac line, John Ternus said there was “only one product to go: Mac Pro”before adding that “that will be for another day”.
A potential presentation of this new Mac Pro could take place in June at WWDC. There have already been rumors that Apple has other Macs planned for the May/June period.
Today Apple announced a new Mac, namely the Mac Studio. This computer is the equivalent of a Mac mini, but supercharged. There is a powerful model with the M1 Max chip and an even more powerful model with the new M1 Ultra chip. In accompaniment, we find the Studio Display screen.
The set is already very interesting for professional users. But those who still want more power will have to reach for the next Mac Pro.
