watchOS 9.0.2
Coinciding with the release of iOS 16.0.3, watchOS 9.0.2 for the Apple Watch was quietly released last night. This update addresses a few annoying bugs that survived the previous bugfix update – watchOS 9.0.1. We list them.
1. Stuttering Spotify
Spotify can be used directly on the Apple Watch (without iPhone), but since watchOS 9, some users have suffered from some hiccups in the music. According to Apple, these have now been resolved, so that you can listen to your favorite songs again without a hitch.
2. Dramatic Snooze
Users who had enabled the AssistiveTouch feature on their Watch received repeated notifications for snoozing the alarm — even though the alarm itself had already been deleted. Now your Watch will leave you alone again.
3. (De)synchronization
After pairing a new Apple Watch, watchOS 9 could encounter an issue with Wallet and Condition data not syncing. For example, you sometimes lost your activity rings, or you didn’t have access to all your digital passes. This has been resolved with watchOS 9.0.2.
4. Series 8 and Ultra . Microphone
Some users had issues with the microphone on the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra. After a while, it stopped responding, making some functions unusable and even freezing entire apps. That too is now a thing of the past.
