Fix Face ID: From iPhone X
It has recently been possible at Apple to have Face ID of the iPhone X repaired, while your entire device was always exchanged before. All other iPhones with Face ID have been repaired since the beginning of this year. The last iPhone with Face ID has recently been added to this list.
Why it was not possible before to repair Face ID of the iPhone X is not entirely clear to us. There are probably a number of differences in the hardware that it was not an option to replace only Face ID. The iPhone X was the first device with Face ID.
These are the benefits (also for you)
The fact that Apple is no longer going to replace the complete iPhone, naturally brings a number of advantages. This way you can be sure that you will get your own device back. Another advantage is that the repair can also be a bit cheaper. Especially if you no longer have a warranty on your iPhone, it is of course a plus that you only have to pay for the repair of Face ID.
In addition, replacing Face ID has another advantage. The impact on the environment is of course also a lot less. With smartphones, tablets and computers, repairs are often always better for the environment than to completely fade away. After all, it takes a lot of energy and (often rare) raw materials to make them.
