Apple extends repair program for broken AirPods Pro

You can go to Apple even longer when it comes to repairing a broken AirPods Pro.

Sometimes it happens that Apple brings products on the market that are not quite right. Can happen, a mistake is human. Then you also have to neatly acknowledge the error and solve the problems. Fortunately, Apple does that too. Last year, a repair program was launched to replace or repair broken AirPods Pro free of charge.

This concerned AirPods Pro with problems around the sound. Think of crackling from the speakers or a static sound. The American tech giant has made a list of problems that can occur.

  • Crackling or static sounds that get worse in loud environments, during exercise, or during phone calls.
  • Active noise cancellation does not work as expected, for example a loss of bass tones or an increase in background noise, such as street or airplane noises.

Only AirPods Pro manufactured before October 2020 are eligible for the program. The AirPods Pro initially hit the market on October 30, 2019. The problems were solved in the first year after production. If you buy new AirPods Pro now, you will not be bothered by anything. The repair program for the broken AirPods Pro was supposed to end this year, but has been extended by Apple for a year.
