iPhone maker earns more money every year
Apple has surpassed its forecast revenue for Q2 of 2022. The most recent figures from the manufacturer show that it had a turnover of no less than $ 97.3 billion. That is about 2 billion more than expected and almost 8 billion more than in the same quarter last year. The revenue of the iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple services grew strongly. Only iPad sales fell slightly.
Apple no longer reports sales by product as it used to. The manufacturer now lists the turnover per category. Here are the numbers:
- iPhone: $50.57 billion (an average increase of 5.5 percent per year)
- Mac: $10.43 billion (an average increase of 14.3 percent per year)
- iPad: $7.65 billion (an average decline of 2.2 percent per year)
- Wearables: $8.82 billion (an average increase of 12.2 percent per year)
- Services: $19.82 billion (an average increase of 17.2 percent per year)
Thanks to rising sales in 2022, the value of Apple shares has also increased by 2 percent. An Apple share costs $167 at the time of writing. That is converted about 158 euros.
Apple boss Tim Cook is happy
Of course, the good numbers do not come without a response from Apple boss Tim Cook. “These record results are the result of our focus on innovation and the ability to create the best products and services in the world,” said Cook. “We greatly appreciate the strong response from customers to our products and the steps we are taking to make Apple completely carbon neutral by 2030. We are committed to making the world a better place – both in what we create and what we leave behind.”
