Another source claims GTA 6 will be released in 2025
It’s starting to look more and more like the truth that we shouldn’t expect GTA 6 until 2025.
There was a time when we welcomed games to the Grand Theft Auto series all the time. After all, after a while you are ready for something new, and the developers can now apply better technology to make the game even better. You can endlessly milk one game, but then you have to do it right.
GTA 5
GTA 5 is a perfect example of endlessly milking one game. The most famous Rockstar release is now on the fifth volume. It was released in 2013 and has been continuously updated ever since. With a major update in between that made the game available for the then brand new Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Today that is still the latest version and with the even better Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 on the market you would expect a new version to be released. title is forthcoming. That is not the case: GTA 5 will receive one more major update for the new consoles and that should keep fans of the GTA series happy for a while.
GTA 6: 2025
Because waiting for GTA 6, then you’ll be sweet for a while. Last week we were able to announce that someone had some details of the game in their hands. No disclosures from Rockstar of course, but leaked info. So a grain of salt is in order. The big reveal in the video of a boy named Tom Henderson is the release date. GTA 6 would not be unveiled until 2025, according to him. That is 12 years after the unveiling of GTA 5. Then it took a very long time.
New date
The release of GTA 6 in 2025 is hard for fans. Not only because it will take another four years, but also because it contradicts another nicely. Jason Schreier, who has already shared a lot of leaks as a Bloomberg journalist, apparently once made people happy with the claim that GTA 6 would come in 2023. According to him, that is not true. He too now confirms that ‘2025’ is the date that he also has the most clear on his retina. Two sources that confirm something: then it seems to be getting closer to the truth.

Which is good news: Schreier says that “everything that was said in the video” fits his info. Then that information again sounds plausible. So it continues about Vice City, multiple characters you can play with (just like in GTA 5) and the setting becomes modern: no retro 80s vicissitudes like in GTA Vice City. Rockstar also seems to want to develop the version of Vice City, so that the map remains unique and refreshing for longer.
A GTA 6 release in 2025, so. That’s a downer, but hopefully Rockstar can make GTA 6 a true gem again.
