Another application with a billion downloads on Google Play
Whether you love them or hate them, spreadsheets are an essential part of more than just working life. This is evidenced by the success of the Google Spreadsheets app, which is officially added to apps with more than a billion downloads in the Google Play store. It crossed that line more than two years after reaching 500 million downloads. The Android Police portal informed about the news.
The Google Spreadsheets application has reached the billion-dollar download threshold
The application is part of the “Google Docs Editors” package, which also includes the popular Google Docs application. It surpassed one billion downloads in October last year. Although spreadsheets aren’t one of the most exciting applications in the Play Store and don’t offer as many features as competing Microsoft Excel, they’re still ready to edit spreadsheets quickly.
Like most Google tools, Spreadsheets has not changed much in the last few years. Last autumn, however, together with other applications, they received a new icon and a handy function for filling individual cells faster.
Few applications have reached one billion downloads
According to Wikipedia, another 54 applications reached a billion downloads. This ranking is dominated by applications from Google, many of which are often pre-installed. In addition, there were also applications of popular social networks, such as TikTok, Twitter or Instagram, as well as other well-known applications such as Spotify or Subway Surfers.
