Androidworld is looking for a tech editor

We are looking for a tech editor who is available on weekdays from 24 to 32 hours to write news, reviews, background articles and tips & tricks.

Who are you?

• You have a passion for Android, smart home and tech in general
• You follow all the news about this closely
• You are proactive and investigative
• You are communicatively strong
• You are creative and it shows in your content
• You know Androidworld’s target group and want to expand it
• You have experience with online publishing
• You also have experience with content management systems, photo and video editing and social media
• You have at least a completed HBO education
• You’re an early adopter, so you’ll be among the first to install new app betas and Android versions on your Pixel phone

You can also

• make complex topics understandable to a wide audience
• fast, precise and error-free writing
• perform well under time pressure
• take the initiative because you don’t like to wait
• work well independently

What are you going to do?

You will make great content during the week, and sometimes also in the evenings when there is ‘breaking news’. You pick up the latest news, work out reviews of the latest smartphones and gadgets, and post beautiful content on social media. In addition, you write understandable tip articles, sharp opinion articles and you proactively look for news and background information that give your articles extra depth. You contact experts in your network, smartphone manufacturers and other experts for this.

Our Androidworld community comes first. So you know what’s going on in this community. You can be found a lot in the comments under our articles you have a lot of contact with the members via, for example, our Telegram group (of which you are of course a long time member; ).

You also enjoy going to (press) events at home and abroad and you are resistant to many gifs in Google Chat.

What we offer

A function of 24 to 32 hours a week with a competitive salary. You mainly work at home and occasionally come to our office in Haarlem to discuss and have a cup of coffee with colleagues. The atmosphere is informal but driven. We work hard, quality comes first and humor is a basic necessity of life.
