Android 13 rollout still in progress after six months

Users of the OnePlus 10 Pro were delighted in September with the news that the manufacturer had started rolling out Android 13 with OxygenOS for the device. The rollout is still not complete.

Slow rollout update for OnePlus 10 Pro

Last September, the news came out from OnePlus that the OnePlus 10 Pro was updated to Android 13 from that moment on. This together with the company’s latest skin, OxygenOS 13. How is the state of affairs? Well, it turns out that OnePlus hasn’t really pushed the envelope of the update just yet. Many users are still waiting for the update on last year’s flagship after six (!) months.

On the OnePlus Community Forum, a user shared a timeline with an overview. It is clear that the rollout of Android 13 for the OnePlus 10 Pro is still not completed. It is known that manufacturers, including OnePlus, usually roll out an update in phases. Should problems arise, the impact will be less than if many devices had already been downloaded. OnePlus seems to be taking a lot of time with the update for the OnePlus 10 Pro.

It is also noted that OnePlus released an OxygenOS 12 update for the device with a few days difference. Those who already got Android 13 didn’t get that OxygenOS 12 update. According to the Chinese manufacturer, it is all normal what happens and that this was done deliberately.

This week, OnePlus reported that it is still rolling out the update to users “in batches” this week.
