Android 12 beta program running, but it has a catch

Company OnePlus has expanded its range of smartphones to include mid- and lower-class models over the past year, which also has an impact on the speed with which its flagships are updated. For last year’s flagship series OnePlus 8 now according to the portal GSMArena has launched a beta program with Android 12. But it has a catch. The beta program is limited to a very small number of users.

Only for 400 owners of the OnePlus 8 series

In recent years, OnePlus flagship models have delivered a new version of Android within two months of its release. The reason was the narrow portfolio of this manufacturer, which for many years only released high-end smartphones. With the expansion of the offer to lower models, the company has more work to do with their software support, which has also affected the speed of updates.

In addition, it is only a closed beta test (CBT) for a maximum of 400 users. Specifically for 200 OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro users and 200 users half a year younger than the OnePlus 8T.

To sign up for the beta program, you must be the owner of one of the models and an active member of the OnePlus Community. You must also communicate regularly and provide feedback to the OnePlus team on their Telegram account. It should be borne in mind that this is an unstable beta version of the system.
