Nvidia introduces the powerful RTX 3090Ti card and the affordable RTX 3050

Let’s start with the green team, the American company Nvidia, which boasted two graphics cards from a completely different spectrum. The first is the RTX 3090Ti, which vice president Jeff Fisher called a monster. The card is naturally based on the Ampere architecture and has 10,752 CUDA cores, which is expected to exceed the limit set ordinary RTX 3090. The throughput will also be higher than the basic 3090 model, namely 21 Gbps versus 19.5 Gbps on a card without the “Ti” designation. Converted to graphics performance, we can talk about up to 40 teraflops, which is – again – about less than 5 TFLOPs more than the base card. In terms of launch and price, Nvidia has not been specific yet – but it is anticipated that the card could be available in late January and February with a price tag set at around $ 2,000. The price in the Czech Republic would then be adequately increased not only naturally, ie by import duties, but also by the fact that nothing is changing in the field of the chip crisis and real prices do not correspond at all to the table ones.

If, on the other hand, you like a cheap card that has the latest technology such as DLSS and, to a limited extent, ray tracing, then you might be interested in the announced RTX 3050. In terms of price, Nvidia will sell the card for $ 250. but even if its real price in the Czech Republic was doubled, it could be considered a success with regard to the available pieces. The launch is scheduled for January 27, but Nvidia was not very specific in terms of specifications and provided only a simple chart on which the RTX 3050 is, of course, a little better in selected games than the GTX 1650, 1050 and 1050 Ti cards. Much more interesting, however, is the aforementioned opportunity to take full advantage of the Ampere architecture, from special webcam control, through Reflex, to DLSS.

AMD presents its “budget” in the form of Radeon RX 6500 XT and others

AMD also did not lag behind the day before the official launch of CES 2022 and addressed its players red offer. AMD Vice President Laura Smith at the press conference unveiled the low-cost RX 6500 XT graphics, which will be available beginning January 19 at a price equivalent to $ 200. But as hardware magazines aptly point out, this is another card that you simply won’t buy, because all the supplies ready for the launch have already been sold out by the vast majority and others are at least not in sight yet. Naturally, don’t expect much in terms of specifications – the RX 6500 XT is less than 60 percent faster than the GTX 1650, but it offers only 16 CUs, 16 MB of Infinity cache and, according to speculation, only 4 GB of GDDR6 memory, which may not be enough for quality gaming in 1080p.

But it wasn’t just the RX 6500 XT, AMD also introduced the RX 6000M and RX6000S mobile graphics cards, which will do their job much better in the context of their use. They are thinner, lighter, more energy efficient and during the presentation it was confirmed that, for example, the RX 6800S managed the Far Cry 6 with the maximum graphics settings in the game at more than 100 fps.
