A small baby normally needs nine months before it is finally born, as is the continuation of what is probably the most iconic show on Amazon Prime Video. Also nine months after the last broadcast, the latest special from “The Grand Tour presents…” will be released in September 2022.

The fans of the three lovable chaos Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May had to wait a long time for new material. Most recently, in December last year, they took a look at the French automobile nation. In “The Grand Tour presents: A Scandi Flick” the three former “Top Gear” presenters now find themselves in the far north along the Arctic Circle.

Amazon unveils new edition of The Grand Tour

According to Amazon, the “guys embark on a catastrophic adventure that takes them to Cold War submarine bases, frozen lake racetracks, accidents and ski resort mayhem while towing their homemade homes from the Norwegian coast to the Russian border .” Sounds damn crazy and therefore promising. Meanwhile, there is even more anticipation when looking at the associated first trailer, be sure to take a look:

goes on air “The Grand Tour presents: A Scandi Flick” then from September 16, 2022. Interesting to know: Amazon is treating this special as the first issue of the fifth season. The four previously produced specials thus form the fourth season and are therefore considered complete. As a reminder, as of season four, the previous studio show is a thing of the past. Since then, the makers have concentrated solely on corresponding specials, which used to be the highlight of the corresponding seasons. This both on “The Grand Tour” and before that on “Top Gear”.

Worth seeing side projects of the three moderators

Anyone who has subscribed to Amazon Prime Video will also be entertained elsewhere by the three main actors. For example, James May was recently exploring Italy (view on Amazon), Richard Hammond attempted to escape from an island (view on Amazon) and Jeremy Clarkson became a more or less successful farmer (view on Amazon) – definitely worth seeing, even without automotive actors.
