Amazon is giving out gifts: a nice extra for Apple users
Amazon is once again wearing its generous pants, because the online giant is exclusively giving its Apple customers a little something extra. So there is once again additional credit when buying digital voucher cards for the App and iTunes Store.
Update April 4, 2022: Current Amazon is relaunching the popular campaign and giving away 10 percent bonus credit to Apple customers, who purchase the corresponding digital credit cards for the iTunes and App Store (view at Amazon). The campaign applies to card balances from 25 euros upwards, individual amounts are also possible. Important to know: the action valid up to and including April 13th. The credit must then be redeemed by April 27th. Of course, as always, you can take your time with spending.
Good to know: In contrast to last year, there is currently no longer 15, but only 10 percent extra. A trend that is continuing, so there was and is only a small fee at Aldi – retailers and Apple are becoming more and more stingy.

Normally, the well-known gift cards for Apple’s App Store and iTunes are usually cheaper at times from discounters such as Aldi or Lidl, or with a bonus credit. So you have to storm into the shops and get the Apple cards directly on site. It’s currently a lot more convenient with Amazon, because the largest online shop in the world sends the voucher codes directly by e-mail and the bonus credit is granted immediately when redeemed in the App Store or iTunes Store.

And there’s so much at the moment: anyone who buys a gift card for Apple’s App Store and iTunes worth 25, 50, 100 euros or an individual amount (from 25 euros upwards) from Amazon between October 6th, 2020 and October 12th, 2020 will receive a bonus credit in the amount of 15 percent. In purely mathematical terms, this corresponds to a discount of around 13 percent on the tickets. Specifically, the gift values at the usual card values at a glance:
- Pay 25 euros, get 28.75 euros credit
- Pay 50 euros, get 57.50 euros credit
- Pay 100 euros, get 115 euros credit
Important to know: If you want to receive the bonus credit, you shouldn’t wait too long to redeem it, because only those who redeem the code by October 26 will also receive the gift credit. Of course, you don’t have to spend the amount immediately. As usual, the value is linked to the Apple ID and remains there as a credit – so don’t rush if you don’t yet know what you want to get for it.

How can the credit be used?
You are of course free to use the credit, the cards can be used to buy music, films and of course apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Apple’s iTunes Store, App Store or Mac App Store are therefore available.
What also works: Reduce subscriber costs for the services booked through Apple. Therefore, the customer can, for example, subscribe to iCloud storage space or the Apple Music streaming service at a lower price. But beware: Such a credit cannot be used for e-books, the German book price fixing makes this impossible. The cards cannot be used for hardware in the Apple Store either.
