Safari Technology Preview: macOS Sonoma Features

Safari 17 is the latest version of the browser that you will soon also find in macOS Sonoma. You can already try this browser on your own Mac and get a taste of it.

The main new feature in the latest Safari is that the browser now has support for profiles. With this you can easily keep your browser history, cookies and more separate.

Apple has also adjusted many small options in the new Safari. For example, the browser supports file formats such as JPEG XL and Live Text now also works vertically.

In addition, a number of things in the interface have been taken care of by Apple. For example, the section in which the experimental features could be found has been cleaned up considerably. These functions are now also divided into different categories.

You can also add a web app to your Dock as an app and Safari can now automatically pick the verification codes from your email messages, just as it already does with verification codes from text messages.
