Already available on Mac, SpyBuster arrives on iOS and still protects against pro-Russian spyware
Available for several months on macOSanti spyware SpyBuster arrives today on iOS (App Store link – Free – iPhone). The software of MacPaw, a Ukrainian software developer, still detects apps installed on the iPhone that send data back to Russia and Belarus (without the user’s consent of course). In detail, the anti-spyware “matches” the apps it finds in the iPhone with a list of applications considered dubious (or downright dubious). When there is a match, SpyBuster notifies the user. The interface of the app couldn’t be simpler and a simple button launches the verification of the iPhone.
It should be noted that the list of apps recovered by SpyBuster in the iPhone does not contravene the rules set up by Apple, precisely because this list is drawn up for the sole purpose of security. On iPhone, SpyBuster requires at least iOS 14 to work while the macOS version of spybuster works from macOS 10.15 or later.
