‘All iPhone 13 models get image stabilization with sensor shift’
All iPhones that appear in 2021 will be equipped with better image stabilization with sensor shift, according to the sources of the Taiwanese DigiTimes. As a result, the gap between the standard and pro models is getting smaller.

‘iPhone 13 gets better image stabilization in camera’
According to DigiTimes all phones in the iPhone 13 series get optical image stabilization with sensor shift. This technology made its entrance last year in the most exclusive device of the iPhone 12 series: the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Now, Apple provides the entire 2021 smartphone family with image stabilization with sensor shift, according to DigiTimes.
The sensor-shift camera technology is especially useful in low-light situations or when the subject you are capturing is moving a lot. In both cases, it can be difficult to shoot sharp images. The sensor stabilization gives you a hand by moving quickly, making it easy to take action photos.
DigiTimes also previously claimed that all iPhone 13 models get the LiDAR Scanner. With the introduction of the depth scanner and image stabilization with sensor shift, the differences between the standard and pro models are getting smaller, at least in terms of the camera.
On to the iPhone 13
Slowly but surely, the first rumors about the new iPhone are pouring in. For example, the well-known tech journalist Jon Prosser claims that Apple skips the number ’13’. Instead, Apple would market the successor to the iPhone 12 as the iPhone 12S. Prosser also predicts a smaller notch and smoother screens for the devices that appear in 2021.
Ming-Chi Kuo also shares his expectations. According to the renowned Apple analyst, the Pro models get a better ultra-wide angle lens. So far it seems that the iPhone 13 (or iPhone 12S) will ‘just’ appear in September 2021, unlike its predecessor. The iPhone 12 series appeared in two rounds. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro were released in October; the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max appeared a month later.
