Aldi will soon be selling giant diesel generators much cheaper
If you’re concerned about the power supply, you could use a power generator for personal backup. Aldi has offered many petrol generators in the past. This time you will soon be able to buy a diesel power generator. That has a big advantage.
Aldi sells giant diesel power generator cheaper
The power supply in Germany is actually secure. Despite this, many people are afraid of a blackout and the inconvenience it will bring. If you want to be prepared for the worst-case scenario of a power outage, you can buy a power generator. From January 5, 2023, Aldi will be offering the Scheppach DGS5500 in the Black Edition sold for only 1,799 euros. The offer is already listed in the prospectus.
Prices for power generators have risen sharply in recent weeks, as many people in Germany access them, but many devices are also sent to the Ukraine in order to be able to produce at least some electricity there. The price of 1,799 euros plus shipping costs, as it is an online offer, is okay. A price comparison is difficult because currently almost everything is out of stock or overpriced. At Norma24 there is a weaker model for 1,999 euros (look at Norma24). At Amazon, such a device costs 2,699 euros (see Amazon). So Aldi is really calling you very good price on, so that this power generator will probably be sold out quickly despite the high price.

What is the advantage of a diesel power generator?
The Scheppach DGS5500 is basically a very powerful power generator that offers many connections, including a 400 volt connection. You can use it, for example, to feed energy into the mobile home or charge an e-car if you have to. But the biggest advantage is in the fuel. While you are officially only allowed to hoard 20 liters of petrol, it is 200 liters for diesel. So if you have a large supply of diesel fuel, you can hold out for days with such a diesel power generator when the power really goes out.
