Aldi is making gifts this week: lucky Apple users

At Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord, Apple users are lucky again this week. Customers will once again receive extra credit from the large discounter when purchasing the well-known Apple cards for the iTunes and App Store.

February 7, 2022 update: Both Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord have them this week popular Apple cards with extra credit – you get 10 percent on it at no extra cost. Ergo: With a card with a credit of 25 euros, customers receive 2.50 euros for free, with the 50 euro card it is 5 euros and with the large card with 100 euros it is a smooth 10 euros. The promotion in the branches is valid until Saturday, February 12th.

But watch out: In order to receive the bonus, the card must also be redeemed by February 26th and thus booked on the Apple ID. But once the amount is there, you can of course take as much time as you want with the purchase of apps and more.

Our assessment: Nice addition, but currently a bit measly at 10 percent. At Lidl, for example, there were 15 percent last week. However, if you missed the campaign, you can still save something, at least for the time being.

Original article:

A good way to save money when buying in the App Store or with Apple Music and Co. is to buy the well-known Apple cards in retail stores. The value coupons, also known in the past as iTunes cards, are becoming cheaper from time to time, and in recent years they have mostly been offered with additional credit.

Bonus: Aldi Nord and Süd are giving out extra credit for Apple cards

So up-to-date at Aldi Süd and also at Aldi Nord. Between October 19th and Saturday, October 24th, the discounter is adding 15 percent in value when you buy Apple cards – a nice free gift that mathematically corresponds to a discount of almost 13 percent. Specifically, these values are as follows:

  • Pay 25 euros, get 28.75 euros credit
  • Pay 50 euros, get 57.50 euros credit
  • Pay 100 euros, get 115 euros credit

Important to know: The respective bonus credits are credited directly to the personal Apple ID when the card is redeemed, but this must be done by November 7th at the latest – so don’t wait long or forget it.

There is still a lot to say about the well-known German discounter. You can find out what else we can reveal in the following video:

Use credit – but for what?

You are then free to use the credit, it is suitable for music, films and of course apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac – iTunes Store, App Store or Mac App Store are available. What is also possible: Reduce subscription costs for the services booked through Apple. This allows the user to book iCloud storage space or Apple Music more cheaply, for example. Important: Such a credit cannot be used for e-books, the German fixed book prices put a spanner in the works. Hardware in the Apple Store cannot be purchased with it either.
