AirPods Pro 2 for fall 2022 and new colors for the AirPods Max

The AirPods Pro 2 will be released this year and it will be more exactly for the fall according to information from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. The journalist confirms what had already leaked. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had already hinted at an exit for the second half of 2022.

A fall 2022 release for the AirPods Pro 2

As a reminder, the current AirPods Pro were released in the fall of 2019. It has therefore been almost three years since Apple updated them at the hardware level. And as Gurman points out, some users may experience battery life issues due to years of use and the small battery found in wireless headphones. These people could therefore be tempted to buy the new model to have new features and regain good autonomy.

There have been rumors and other leaks about the AirPods Pro 2 for a while now. It is rumored that the headphones will change their design, in particular to be more compact with the removal of the stem. Apple would also offer a new charging box and lossless audio support.

New colors on the way for the AirPods Max

In the process, Gurman announces that Apple is preparing new colors for the AirPods Max. Currently, the helmet is available in space gray, silver, green, pink and sky blue. There is no specific information about the new colorways, just like there is no release date. A fall arrival alongside the new AirPods Pro is a possibility.
