Android updates

AirPods battery life is displayed on the Nothing Phone (1)

Nothing offers a software update for its Phone (1) with in particular an improvement for AirPods support. Indeed, the smartphone is now able to display the remaining autonomy of the headphones.

If you have the Phone (1), install the Nothing OS 1.1.7 update. Once that’s done, go to the settings and then to the experimental features section. You can thus activate the one allowing you to have the remaining autonomy of the AirPods.

The fact that Nothing adapts to AirPods, while the brand offers an Android smartphone, is not really surprising. Indeed, Apple’s wireless earbuds are popular and aren’t just for iPhone users (although iPhone users are entitled to a few extra features). It is possible to use them with any device, as long as there is a Bluetooth connection.

Speaking of headphones, Nothing has its own pair, namely the Ear (1). At the beginning of the year, the Ear (1) added support for Siri. Apple’s voice assistant arrived alongside Google’s.

The Nothing Phone (1) starts at €469 (399€ for Black Friday). The smartphone features the Snapdragon 778G+ processor, 8 or 12 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of storage and is entitled to a 6.55-inch 120 Hz OLED screen with a definition of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. One of its peculiarities is the presence of LEDs on the back.
