After Netflix, Amazon Prime also increases prices
In the category good example follows. Following Netflix, Amazon Prime is also increasing the prices for a subscription.
At the moment we don’t notice anything because these developments are taking place in America. But don’t be surprised if sooner or later we have to pay more for various streaming services. Recently it was announced that Netflix in America is increasing prices and now Amazon Prime is doing exactly the same.
The Americans have to pay two dollars a month more. The subscription was $13 a month, but now goes to $15. The annual subscription changes from $119 to $139. Inflation is already high here in Europe, but the United States is hitting it even harder. As a result, prices in America are going up considerably, not just Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Here in the Netherlands Prime is relatively cheap with a monthly amount of 3 euros. At least if you compare Amazon Prime with competitors like Netflix and Disney+. That is why we also cited Prime in the list of 4 cheaper alternatives on Netflix. Amazon is deliberately cheaper to gain a market segment in the Netherlands. That is why it is a lot more expensive in the home country of the United States of America.
