advertising is not excluded for the future

Netflix has provided more information about the company’s future in an interview. Ads no longer seem to be excluded.

Advertising on Netflix?

Video service Netflix has announced in a conversation that the arrival of advertisements is not excluded for the future. This is stated by Spencer Neumann, chief financial officer at Netflix, at a conference. Until now, advertising was always excluded from the streaming service.

That could just change in the future. Neumann indicated that it is not part of current plans, but that it will not be ruled out forever. The question came in response to Disney+. That video service wants to offer a cheaper subscription, which does work with advertisements. A combination with a low monthly price and advertisements should ensure that more users sign up. The advertising would then not be visible with the ‘normal’ subscriptions that are offered.
