Adjust date and time of your iPhone photos

To adjust this data you first needed a special app or other program, but that is no longer necessary. You can now immediately see with which lens the photo was taken and what the specific settings of the iPhone were. You can all adjust the date, time and time zone, all easily in the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad. Below we show you exactly how to do that.

  1. Open the Photos app;
  2. Tap on the photo for which you want to see or change the data;
  3. Tap the information button (the circle with the letter i);
  4. You will see the Exif data appear. Tap ‘Edit’;
  5. Adjust the date, time and time zone to your liking;

Adjusting the date or time is especially useful if you’ve scanned or forwarded old photos. Often, the metadata for these types of photos is not quite right and the shots are sometimes not shown in the correct order in your photo library. You can now solve this by adjusting the EXIF ​​data in the way above.
