Block ads on your iPhone with BlockBear!
Ad blockers for PC and Mac have been around for a long time, but for the iPhone and iPad you had to wait until 2015 and the release of iOS 9. Several extensions have now appeared that you can use to filter out annoying advertisements.

- Download BlockBear! from the App Store (see link below);
- Open the app and tap ‘Got it!’;
- Turn on the desired options with the sliders at the bottom, usually it is enough to turn on the first three options;
- Turn on the slider at the top of the screen, the sheep now changes into a bear.
When you use BlockBear! you have to check whether the extension is enabled in Safari. You do this by tapping ‘Settings > Safari > Extensions’. You should now see the BlockBear icon here! to stand. Then set the slider to on.

Whitelisting websites in the adblocker on iPhone and iPad
Ad blocking remains a hot topic. Many online publishers and websites (including iPhoned) offer information for free need the advertising revenue for website maintenance. An adblocker on your iPhone or iPad blocks this income and many parties simply cannot survive.
It is therefore best to add sites that you like to read and that you are fond of, it is best to add them to a whitelist of pages whose advertisements are not blocked. This is what you do at BlockBear! in the following way.
- Open the BlockBear! app;
- Tap ‘Whitelist’ at the bottom;
- Tap the plus sign at the top right;
- In the text box, type ‘iphoned.nl’ and tap ‘done’.
BlockBear! disable or delete
Are you encountering problems or can you no longer see that content on some websites because you have blocked the ads? Then you have to (temporarily) disable adblocker on your iPhone. You do this by opening the BlockBear! app and unchecking the slider at the top. Then you reload the website with problems.
Do you want BlockBear! remove completely? Then keep your finger on the BlockBear! app until the icon starts to vibrate. Then choose ‘Delete app’.
