Electric cars like Tesla’s Model 3 may be more of a media issue when they catch fire. According to a study, however, vehicles with combustion engines and hybrid cars catch fire much more often.

In the summer, General Motors (GM) had to recall over 140,000 Chevrolet Bolts and several hundred Opel Ampera-E. Several of the Stromer had previously caught fire while loading.
