a third of readers found Galaxy Unpacked disappointing

Samsung presented a large line-up of new products this week full of fanfare, but a third of the Androidworld readers left it cold. 32 percent indicate that they find the presented products Disappointing.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

The product that our readers liked the most was not even a smartphone. It was the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. When asked, “What do you think is the best announcement from the Galaxy Unpacked event?” for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. Even more precise, the Pro version is particularly popular: 27 percent found it most interesting, while 15 percent were more impressed by the standard version.

Rik.S has even already ordered it: “Ordered the watch 5 pro yesterday. Received today. Top! Works great and setup was super easy. Still getting used to the fact that there is no turning bezzle on it, but it will be fine.” EricNL understands that choice a bit better: “The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is interesting but has too few really meaningful additions compared to the Watch 4 Classic. Bigger battery? I put it on the charger at night anyway.” Yes, but then he can’t possibly keep up with your sleep, EricNL?

AW Poll

The new earbuds Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 both received 10 percent of the votes, with a very meager 7 percent of the votes for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. We are of course curious why the devices are so be unpopular. Is there too little innovation? Are too many devices coming out at the same time? Are they too expensive? Or was it less exciting because a lot had already been leaked?

aeijsink was clearly not impressed with the new phones. “Samsung better focus on its A series. You don’t really score with the other products these days. Perhaps a smartphone with a 1-inch camera sensor is a better direction.” You will probably be allowed to dig deep into your pockets, cookie1397 notes.

Hopefully we will soon see announcements that will make us enthusiastic en masse. In any case, you can read more about Samsung’s new gadgets here on Androidworld in the near future. And you can also read a new AW Poll next week. Do you want to participate?
