A remastered GTA trilogy will be released later this year, sources -apkrig agree

It seems that the trilogy of remastered games from the Grand Theft Auto series is about to be announced. Specifically, it is supposed to be GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. Kotaku magazine came up with the original report based on its own sources, but the Video Games Chronicle also confirms this information. Improved versions are to be created in the British studio Rockstar Dundee, and its developers are said to be nearing completion. The trilogy seems to target all important systems, including the Switch. So far, only the first two parts, Grand Theft Auto Advance and Chinatown Wars, have been available on Nintendo’s platforms.

The Rockstar Dundee team was called Ruffian Games until last year, when it was bought by Rockstar. They created Crackdown 2 and helped with Crackdown 3. In addition, the same team should assist in the development of next-gen versions of GTA V, which are due to be launched on November 11 this year. After all, they have experience with remasters. They also participated in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Kotaku says his sources have previously provided him with the correct information about GTA Online and Red Dead Online weeks and months before their official release.

It is also interesting that this information spreads over the Internet only a few days after Take-Two Interactive officially admitted that they are working on three remasters of older games. Previously, the company pretended not to be interested in improved versions of earlier titles.

Kotaku itself claims to have information on GTA remasters from three different sources. At the same time, these reports have been spreading on the Internet for some time, and speculation has also encouraged recent interventions against some modifications, which fans are now linking to. Rockstar, of course, doesn’t comment on the speculation, but Kotaku says his sources have previously provided him with the correct information about GTA Online and Red Dead Online weeks and months before their official release.

At one time, it was supposed to be a bonus to the next-gen ports of GTA V and GTA Online.

Remasters are supposed to use the Unreal Engine and mix old and new graphics. One of the sources allegedly saw the novelty in action and reminded him of the much-modified classic GTA. The interface is also improved, but it should have a classic style. In terms of gameplay, the games are said to be true to the originals.

As a result of the pandemic, plans for remasters have also changed and nothing is certain until they are officially announced. At one time, it was supposed to be a bonus to the next-gen ports of GTA V and GTA Online, although it is surprising that Rockstar would potentially voluntarily deprive itself of another bundle of money that the remasters will undoubtedly earn. Now it is expected that the games will be released at the turn of October and November for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, Stage and mobile phones.

Rockstar may also be considering an improved version of Red Dead Redemption and other games, but their future depends on the success of this trilogy.

However, the PC and mobile versions could be postponed to next year, as consoles are said to have priority. It looks like all three games will arrive at once in one collection, which will be sold exclusively digitally. Rockstar may also be considering an improved version of Red Dead Redemption and other games, but their future depends on the success of this trilogy. After all, the Dundee don’t do it themselves, but other Rockstar teams are supposed to help them. And this is also the reason why the development of Red Dead Online is stagnating.

In addition to Kotak and VGC, Gematsu magazine also claims to have heard the same news from its own sources. Therefore, I consider the information to be highly reliable. But most of all, I’m most interested in another thing. Will the original soundtracks be fully preserved? The three games mentioned had brilliant licensed songs, but that’s what I’m worried about the most right now, with regard to copyright. Without them, I can’t even imagine some situations.
