Successor OPPO Find X5 Pro
The Find X6 Pro is OPPO’s new high-end top model. The device follows the OPPO Find X5 Pro, a phone that felt like a rollercoaster for editor Sebastien. In addition, this device lacked a truly unique feed purchasing argument or unique selling point. The smartphone was good on all fronts, but in no way really special or better than the competition. Sebastien said the following in his review at the time:
My review period of the Find X5 Pro felt like a rollercoaster with ups and downs. I feel there’s a lot of good will from OPPO to deliver a very good product with the Find X5 Pro, but I’m also sure there’s more to this phone…For one lucky guy who gets ‘Find X5’ called, and not ‘Find X4’, this phone is very unlucky. With an effort from OPPO, there is a lot to get out of the device. We look forward to seeing it happen in the coming months.
OPPO Find X6 Pro: specifications
The OPPO Find X6 Pro seems to change this. OPPO has ‘stuffed’ the phone with big fat specifications. Below we discuss a number of specific specifications of the Find X6 Pro.
Large 1-inch camera sensor
The Find X6 Pro has a 50 MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor. Larger camera sensors in smartphones are currently not available. A large sensor ensures that more light can fall on the sensor and the following applies again: the more light, the more information the sensor can collect. More information means more detail, and more detail means better photos.
The main camera is assisted by a 50 MP telephoto lens that can zoom 3x optically and a 50 MP wide-angle lens with auto focus. The latter means that you can also take macro photos. OPPO seems to want to beat Samsung on the digital zoom, because you will probably be able to zoom up to 120x with the X6 Pro. Now digital zoom on the S23 Ultra – which has a telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom that can digitally zoom up to 100x – doesn’t look pretty. OPPO uses a telephoto lens with only 3x optical zoom, so we expect that 120x zoom will not look too good at all.
Screen brightness up to 2500 nits
The OPPO Find X6 Pro also features a large 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The unique thing about the screen is that it can reach a peak brightness of no less than 2500 nits. This makes the Find X6 Pro’s screen one of the brightest on the market and, for example, even brighter than that of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Other specifications
In addition to the specifications mentioned above, the Find X6 Pro has been given a number of high-end specifications. For example, the 5000 mAh battery can be charged with a power of 100W and the device runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This is the fastest processor you can find in an Android smartphone at the moment.
The phone will get at least 256 GB of storage and 12 or 16 GB of RAM. The smartphone also receives an IP68 rating and runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 over it.

Price and availability
It is not yet known exactly what the Find X6 Pro will cost. The Find X5 Pro received a suggested retail price of 1299 euros.
