Skeleton Crew: a new Star Wars series announced with Jude Law
Skeleton Crew is the name of an upcoming Star Wars series, starring Jude Law. The announcement for the series was made today during Star Wars Celebration.
Skeleton Crew will be a future Star Wars series
The series is a coming-of-age story set in the science fiction universe. In addition to Jude Law, it will also feature children, but we don’t yet know who they will be. The realization is ensured by Jon Watts and it is Chris Ford who will take care of the screenplay. The two men previously collaborated on Spider-Man: Homecoming. As for the production, it is ensured by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
Recently, Vanity Fair devoted a topic on Star Wars and rightly talked about Skeleton Crew, except that the title was not known at this time, as was the presence of Jude Law. The magazine stated:
The series is set during the period of reconstruction following Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Empire, much like The Mandalorian, but its plot remains under wraps. It is created and produced by director Jon Watts and screenwriter Chris Ford. A casting ad asked for four children, ages 11 to 12. Within Lucasfilm, the series is described as a galactic take on classic 80s Amblin adventure films.
There is currently no image or release date for the series. Skeleton Crew. This announcement joins others, namely the first trailer for Andor and a release date for season 3 of The Mandalorian. In addition, other series are in preparation, including Ahsoka and lando.
