Ducati unveils sporty e-bike with a hefty price tag
The new Ducati e-bike focuses on a sporty road bike
It won’t be easy for you to take to work, but on a mountain pass, the new Ducati Thok Futa will come in handy. In addition to great motorcycles, Ducati also builds e-bikes under the Thok label. Today, the Futa was added to that lineup. A new sporty e-bike that helps you attack the alps.
You immediately understand where that name comes from. Futa is a reference to the mountain pass of the same name in Italy, the homeland of Ducati. The e-bike comes in the brand’s typical red and has a powerful 250 W motor on board, good for 42 Nm of torque. The power unit weighs only 3.98 kg and has five different modes for cycling. The e-bike is compatible with the FSA app on Android and iOS to gain more insight into the rides you will undertake with the Futa.
The e-bike itself weighs 12.4 kg, which is of course not very much for an electric bicycle. Ducati says the e-bike provides support up to 25 km/h, but you should hardly notice it when the support stops. This should complement very naturally if you take over above that 25 km/h. The acceptable weight helps with that. You don’t have to kick a very heavy thing
Prices for the new Ducati Thok Futa start at 7,690 euros. It is possible to place a pre-order from today.
