this is what you need to know about it
Realme, the subsidiary brand of Oppo, presented two new devices during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. They are the Realme GT2 and the Realme GT2 Pro. Both models will also come to the Netherlands.
Realme GT2 (Pro) announced
The Realme lineup has expanded with the Realme GT2 and the Realme GT2 Pro. What is immediately noticeable is that the Chinese manufacturer wants to reduce its ecological footprint. For this reason, the back panel of the phones consists of biobased polymer and the packaging (the box) is made of recyclable material. The amount of plastic here has been reduced from 21.7 percent to 0.3 percent.
Realme GT2 Pro
The most extensive device in the series is the Realme GT2 Pro, a device with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space. Special cooling must ensure that the appliance does not become too hot. Realme gives the device a so-called Super Reality Display; an AMOLED panel with a size of 6.7 inches, a resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. This screen must also be easy to read on sunny days and also offers a high pixel density of 525 ppi. This means that the details on the screen come into their own even more.
The Realme GT2 Pro offers a 50 megapixel main camera with PDAF autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS). The smartphone gets an extra 50 megapixel wide-angle lens with an image of 150 degrees. This is a lot wider than competitors, and almost creates a fisheye effect. The third camera is a 3MP microscope camera that can magnify the image 40x. You can take selfies with the 32-megapixel front camera.
Realme gives the phone a 5000 mAh battery with 65W charging. This should make it possible to fully charge a battery in 33 minutes. For both the Realme GT2 and the Pro, Realme promises security updates for four years and security patches for three years. How often these appear is not shared. On top of Android 12 there is the Realme UI 3.0 skin which is characterized by, among other things, the 3D icons.

Then there is the Realme GT2, which is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The phone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, which can be charged with 65W. Although the 50 megapixel main camera is in the Pro, it is not in the standard model. The precise layout of the camera module is not shared, except that a macro and wide-angle lens are present.
availabilty
The exact date on which the devices will be available in the Netherlands is not mentioned. However, other sources report the date March 15 for the European release. For the GT2, an early bird price of 499 euros applies, for the GT2 Pro you pay 699 euros (849 euros for the 256GB version). You can choose from the colors black, white and green and you can order it at Belsimpel.
