iPhone 14 Pro gets the most RAM in iPhone ever
The new iPhone 13 Pro can already be called a speed monster, but the performance of its successor may be even more impressive. According to a new rumor, the device has 8GB of RAM – more than an iPhone has ever had.

iPhone 14 Pro with 8GB RAM
The message is reported on the Korean blog naver, by ‘yeux1122’. The user is relying on sources from Apple’s supply chain. The ‘leaker’ doesn’t have an impressive track record, so the rumor should be taken with a grain of salt.
Still, the rumor sounds plausible. Since the iPhone 11 Pro, Apple’s flagships have had 6GB of RAM on board, and this year the iPhone could use some extra RAM. Reportedly, the main camera has more megapixel sensors than ever – and that requires more RAM.
At the end of last year, Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu also claimed that the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro are equipped with 8GB of RAM. That is by the way as much as the brand new flagship of Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. There is an option to expand the RAM to 12GB of RAM.
There is a chance that Apple will also put more RAM in the standard iPhones. The iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 now do it with 4GB of RAM. We expect Apple to expand this to 6B RAM on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.
What good is more RAM?
With a higher RAM, a smartphone can speed up certain processes, such as photo editing or watching videos. However, working memory does not say everything. The speed largely depends on the processor and software – things that Apple develops itself. This allows the company to coordinate everything well and iPhones require relatively little RAM.
In a test, the iPhone 13 Pro also turned out to be much faster than the Samsung Galaxy S22, while Samsung’s flagship product has more RAM.
