Best dating app
If you say dating app, you say Tinder. But while the love app is by far the most popular, there are apps that are more likely to hit Cupid.
1. Bumble
Tinder is still the largest and best-known dating app, but Bumble is catching up. The success lies in the concept. While most dating apps expect men to make the first move, on Bumble it’s the other way around.
If you have become a match, the woman has 24 hours to send a message. If this doesn’t happen, the match is over – a sin forever. The “women first” rule means that a match almost always results in a conversation, while people on other dating apps are a lot more passive.
Another advantage of Bumble is that you get matches relatively easily. While Tinder seems to be a bit conscious of this (it shouldn’t be too easy or you won’t get that Premium subscription), Bumble is even less commercial. Just make sure you choose the right photos for your dating profile, as it matters a lot.
Bumble is also more suitable for those looking for a serious relationship. When drawing up your profile, you have the option to indicate whether you are looking for a relative, or ‘Something that is not binding’. You can also clarify whether you want children, what your political preference is, whether you use drugs or alcohol, what your religion is and more. This way you already know before you swipe someone to the right whether the person is cut from the right stuff.

2. Happn
We think Bumble is the best dating app, but of course you don’t have to bet on one cupid. Another favorite of ours is Happn. Here you will meet people with whom you have crossed paths in daily life.
Due to the extensive profiles, the intentions are also a bit more serious on Happn than on Tinder. The app is especially popular in the big cities and people are relatively highly educated.
Just like with Tinder and Bumble, you swipe people left (not nice) and right (nice) to score a match. The game ‘Crush Time’ is fun. You will be shown 4 photos and you have to guess which of the four has given you a like. If you get the person right, then you are a match.

3. Hinge
A lesser known but good dating app is Hinge. The app is, as the makers say, specially designed to be removed as soon as possible. An app for people who are looking for something serious, so.
Hinge gives users a select list of profiles to choose from. With this, the app wants to achieve that you do not swipe endlessly, but that you take the time to have conversations. And you have to press the heart to like someone – swiping doesn’t work. This also contributes to the fact that you pay more attention to viewing the profiles.
Those profiles are very extensive on Hinge. In addition, the app uses a smart algorithm to match people. This algorithm calculates who suits you based on your profile information, your preferences, your likes and the ‘dealbreaker’ option. Hinge only has one drawback: there are still relatively few users in the Netherlands. But who knows, that one person might be among them.
