Children under 12 receive an invitation for corona vaccination

The eligible children (almost 1.3 million in total) will receive a ‘child dose’ of the vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech. To make the injections less exciting, the GGD is setting up separate ‘children’s streets’ at the vaccination locations. “Vaccinators here take extra time for the children, offer extra care. Their parents are there, all of this has to be done in a calm manner,” says the umbrella organization GGD GHOR Nederland.

Vulnerable children aged 5 to 11, for example suffering from severe asthma, a congenital defect or Down syndrome, can already be vaccinated.
