Google Pay now available for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4
Samsung has announced that from today the Galaxy Watch 4 will receive support for Google Pay. Google Pay is Google’s payment service and now works on both the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic. You can pay directly from your wrist.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 with Google Pay
The latest smartwatches from Google, the Watch 4 series, have now been made suitable for Google Pay, Google’s payment service. This means that from now on you can pay from your wrist. Support is available for all models in the Watch 4 series, so both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic. The option is possible because Samsung no longer uses its own operating system with this series, but Wear OS from Google.
It is good to know, however, that it is not yet possible with every bank to use Google Pay. This is currently possible for customers with ABN Amro, Bunq, N26, Revolut, Curve, Monese, Viva and Wise. Customers of, for example, ING and Rabobank should use their own app, but it does not support the smartwatch, unfortunately. To pay contactless with the smartwatch, NFC must be enabled on the watch.
