No more CMD: Windows 11 gets a new standard command line
Windows 11 users can manually make the Windows Terminal introduced in 2019 the standard command line application. From 2022, the system should set this setting itself.
The Windows console environment is being modernized. Instead of the more archaic prompt that we call via cmd.exe, the Windows console host, we have been able to use the much more modern terminal app for some time.
