Spotify Wrapped 2021: your favorite music at a glance
Do you have a Spotify subscription? Then we have good news. From now on you can view your personal Wrapped. This is an annual overview in which all your favorite music and artists are highlighted. This way you get a comprehensive picture of your music taste and you know what your musical 2021 looked like based on rock-solid figures.
You get easy access to your own Wrapped. Open the Spotify app and you will immediately see a Wrapped notification. Don’t see this message yet? Then check again later, because the rollout is not the same for everyone. Last year you could also consult your annual overview via the internet, but that is not possible now. You can, however, go to the Spotify Wrapped 2021 page to be forwarded directly to the app.
Spotify gives Wrapped a different look and back story every year. This year’s focus is on ‘your personal film’. For example, you get to see which songs are the soundtrack of your 2021 film. There is also the Audio Aura. This consists of two music moods that best suit your listening behavior. Spotify has collaborated with an aura expert for this.
Spotify also pays a lot of attention to your friends with Wrapped 2021. For example, via Playing Cards you will see a card game with claims about your listening behaviour, where you have to indicate whether they are correct or not. Afterwards you can forward the game to your friends. Let’s see how well they can estimate your listening behaviour.
In addition, with 2021 Wrapped Blend you can see how your music taste compares to that of your friends. Your favorite songs have been supplemented by Spotify with those of your friends, in order to arrive at a very friendly mix. Do your friends listen to music you hate? Then you better let Wrapped Blend go for a while.
Social media is becoming more important, bigger and more influential every year. That’s why Spotify Wrapped is designed for online sharing. That way you can easily share your musical overview with your friends. From Spotify there is a special ‘Share this story’ button, with which you can share any Wrapped slide directly via Instagram Stories, TikTok, Snapchat or Twitter. So get ready for an ocean of Wrapped images on social media.
