find out the price of Samsung’s smartphone before its launch
While Samsung has still not presented its Galaxy S21 FE, the latest model in the range of the same name, we already know the price of the smartphone. It would be slightly cheaper than the previous generation.
As with each new model of Samsung smartphone, our colleagues at WinFuture managed to obtain the price of the device before its official launch. Previous leaks had suggested that the Galaxy S21 FE would be cheaper than the previous generation, especially because of its multiple postponements and the imminent arrival of the Galaxy S22, and this is ultimately the case.
Indeed, according to WinFuture, the Galaxy S21 FE would arrive in Europe at a price of 649 euros for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and 699 euros for the version with 256 GB of storage. It is 100 euros less than the Galaxy S20 FE of last year, since it had been launched at 759 euros. With the Galaxy S22 arriving in February, it made sense for Samsung to sell off its new smartphone so that customers weren’t waiting for the next generation.
Galaxy S21 FE to use Exynos 2100 SoC in Europe
According to WinFuture, the European Galaxy S21 FE will use an Exynos 2100 SoC like the other Galaxy S21s, rather than using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. We had already seen the smartphone (named SM-G990E) equipped with this chip on the Geekbench benchmark. It should offer identical performance to other models in the range.
Finally, WinFuture took the opportunity to share new official renderings of the smartphone, which once again confirm its design. It looks like two drops of water to the classic Galaxy S21, since it still uses the same photo module with three sensors placed vertically and a punched screen FHD + 120 Hz. The back of the smartphone is plastic rather than glass, like the Galaxy S21.
The Korean giant’s Galaxy S21 FE won’t arrive for at least a month, since Samsung has reportedly scheduled the Unpacked event on January 4. Until then, it is expected that more information regarding the smartphone will be revealed, including in particular the complete technical sheet.
